Wang Ruowei (Maggie) is a Consultant Solicitor at Duan & Duan UK LLP, dual-qualified to practise law in both the People’s Republic of China and England and Wales. Since joining Duan & Duan Chengdu in 2021, she has advised domestic and international clients across a broad range of commercial matters, including dispute resolution, investment and financing, capital markets, international trade, and corporate governance.

Maggie’s practice encompasses litigation and arbitration across multiple jurisdictions, investment structures and cross-border financing, regulatory frameworks and corporate advisory, and international trade contracts and risk management. She is bilingual in Chinese and English and frequently acts as lead project counsel, coordinating with local counsel across jurisdictions to ensure the seamless execution of complex transactions.

Before joining Duan & Duan, Maggie worked at international law firms in Hong Kong, where she advised major financial institutions including HSBC, Standard Chartered, and China Development Bank on cross-border banking and finance projects. Her expertise covers project finance, acquisition finance, asset finance, and sale-and-leaseback transactions. She has managed corporate due diligence, securities registration, financing documentation, and legal opinions in complex multi-jurisdictional deals.
