Duan & Duan UK LLP is the London office of Duan & Duan, the international legal network founded in Shanghai, and is managed and run independently in London. Our clients at our Middle Temple office benefit from access to over 2,000 lawyers in 40 offices across Asia, Europe, and North America — with the reassurance of working through a single, SRA-regulated UK firm as their primary point of contact.

What the network means for our clients

• Trusted referrals into familiar jurisdictions. When a matter extends into mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, New York or elsewhere, we draw on relationships with lawyers we work with regularly — not a cold list from a directory.
• Coordinated cross-border matters. For disputes, transactions, and private-client work spanning multiple jurisdictions, we act as your single point of contact in London and coordinate across the network. One engagement letter, one partner on-point, one invoice (unless local regulation requires otherwise).
• Bilingual working at every step. Briefing notes, translation of key documents, and live meetings in both English and Mandarin / Cantonese, without the delays and quality issues of an external translation chain.
• A firm you can verify. Duan & Duan UK LLP is an English LLP, managed and run independently in London and fully regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA 659252). The network is a network — not a merged partnership — so each office is locally accountable to its own regulator.

These rankings refer to the wider Duan & Duan Greater China / PRC platform and not to Duan & Duan UK LLP, which is a separately incorporated English LLP authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. We mention the rankings here because, in practice, the strength of the platform we draw on is part of what the London office offers UK clients — and clients reasonably ask about it. The framing is meant to be transparent about the distinction between the network's recognition and our own SRA-regulated UK practice.

Duan & Duan UK LLP is the London office of Duan & Duan, the international legal network founded in Shanghai. It is an English limited liability partnership, authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, and is managed and run independently in London. It is registered in England and Wales (LLP number OC427307); its SRA number is 659252. We hold our own professional indemnity insurance as required by the SRA.

Each firm in the Duan & Duan network is a distinct legal entity, locally regulated, and holds its own professional indemnity cover. Work referred to another firm in the network is engaged with that firm directly under its own terms.
