Duan & Duan at London International Disputes Week 2026 (LIDW26)

London International Disputes Week 2026 (LIDW26) took place from 1 to 5 June 2026 at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in London. Lawyers from across the Duan & Duan network took part.

Duan & Duan was represented by Chengwei Qi (戚诚伟), head of its banking and finance committee, and Wang Ying (王盈), deputy head of its criminal defence committee. Jackson Ng and Leon Chua, Partners at Duan & Duan UK LLP, the network's London member firm, also took part in the week.

The week

LIDW is a forum on the future of international dispute resolution, and promotes London as a centre for arbitration, litigation and mediation. According to Duan & Duan's report, LIDW26 brought together more than 700 judges, arbitrators, lawyers and general counsel from over 100 countries. The week included International Arbitration Day, the main conference day and more than 150 member-hosted sessions.

Chengwei Qi attended the main conference and more than ten banking and finance sessions, covering cross-border syndicated lending, financial compliance and risk control, cross-border disposal of non-performing assets and multi-jurisdictional dispute resolution. Wang Ying attended the main conference and more than ten sessions on cross-border fraud and asset recovery, sanctions and jurisdiction, arbitration, and the use of artificial intelligence and legal technology in dispute resolution. During the main conference she also spoke with Mark Evans, President of the Law Society of England and Wales.
