The firm was established by Jackson Ng and Leon Chua in 2019 as Jackson Lyon LLP. In September 2024, the firm joined Duan & Duan, an international Chinese law firm with over 35 offices across the world and China with over 1800 lawyers.

Jackson, a barrister, is well-respected in the British Chinese communities for his significant contributions to a number of high-profile legal cases. His prominent role in these cases has made him a notable figure in these communities.

Leon, on the other hand, has earned recognition for his involvement in substantial judicial review cases, as well as his commendable pro bono work for various charities.
